this summer, i got my scuba diving license. my dad was already certified and he wanted me to get certified and i thought it might be rather neat so i did. i had my checkout dive during the summer, which is essentially a test to put all the skills i learned as a diver to the test. there were a multitude of tasks i had to perform to show that i knew what i was doing including taking off mask underwater and clearing it and what not.
i got to dive a wreck when we went diving as well. it was in florida and we had two dives. one was the wreck and another was some big sunken military equipment. i saw a variety of sea life including some things I've never even heard of before, which was awesome. it was quite an experience and I'm looking forward to doing it again in the future.
Austin, I think that it's so cool that you scuba dive! My parents and grandparents are big scuba divers, but I have never done it. I really want to try though, because it seems so exciting! What's the most interesting or memorable thing that has happened to you when scuba diving?
